The Stitch Witches are a group of five quilters who met whilst doing a City and Guilds course in Patchwork and Quilting in Camberley, Surrey, England. They continue to evolve and develop their work through challenges and exhibitions producing both traditional and contemporary quilts.
Each Stitch Witch has her own personal style. We have worked together successfully over the years through joint and individual projects, meeting monthly to support the development of each other's skills through constructive feedback and sharing of ideas and expertise.
Our large body of work reflects a range of styles, techniques and themes using vibrant colour, texture and pattern.
This diverse collection of collaborative work will inspire anyone interested in art, design and textiles.
Witchcraft Exhibition - The Stitch Witches have exhibited some of their work at the Grosvenor shows at Sandown and other venues including Edinburgh, Harrogate and Chilford, during 2011.
In April 2011 the Stitch Witches gave a talk to Village Green Quilters and, in May, gave a talk to Mole Valley Quilters. Both talks were well received.
If you are interested in our talk called "Evolution" which describes our work as a group and individuals has developed over the 14 years since meeting through a City and Guilds course please contact us. There is a large collection of colourful and innovative quilts illustrating our collaborative way of working. Fees for this talk are £100 plus mileage of 40p/mile.
Since forming the group we have entered group quilts at a number of shows. See our Events page.
