I first came across Patchwork and Quilting whilst living in Bahrain in the Middle East in 1982. The equipment and materials were very basic and piecing over paper was the first technique I learned. I didn't do any more patchwork for 12 years. In 1994 I saw an advert for classes and decided to join and that is where I met, fellow Stitch Witch, Lee. We then did City & Guilds Pt.1 in Camberley and it was after we had completed the course that 'Stitch Witches' was formed.
I find the Challenges that we now set ourselves really stretch me as I am more of a traditionalist and I like pointed points and lots of quilting! I find it quite hard to come out of the comfort zone but the other Witches are always there to give support.
