I started quilting in 1996 when I signed up for a C&G course and rapidly became addicted!
For the last few years I have been making quilted wall hangings and enjoy working in the medium of fabric and stitch. I am interested in line and colour and choose a non-traditional approach. I use a mixture of techniques including both hand and machine quilting and particularly enjoy the textural effects that result from hand quilting.
More recent work involves building up a surface using woven strips of fabric or fabric collage and then adding further embellishment.
The creative opportunities seem endless. Finding enough time to experiment is the only problem.
